Walsall Golf Club Ltd has a thriving Ladies section and we welcome new Lady members who wish to join us. We are a friendly group of ladies of all ages and abilities who share a passion for golf and the fun and friendship our sport brings.
Our ladies’ section is an integral part of the Walsall Golf Club family.
Our main competition day is Tuesday. We play competitions over 9 and 18 holes, it’s your choice! Competitions are also run on some Sundays for those who are unable to play on Tuesdays. We regularly meet on a Friday morning on an informal basis which gives another opportunity to meet other ladies.
For the competitive golfer we have teams that enter Scratch and interclub competitions. We have links with local Golf Clubs with whom we arrange both friendly and mixed matches at home and away. This gives our ladies the opportunity to play other courses and to meet ladies from other clubs. We offer Ladies Open competitions each year along with the Mixed Opens. We believe that the camaraderie and social aspects of club membership are also important. As such we have a full social and golf calendar including Lady Captain’s and Lady President’s Days, Lady Captain’s Away Day and in the clubhouse, dinners, fashion shows, quiz nights, Bridge club and, of course, the clubhouse is open for food and drink all week.
If you are new to golf, our Professional, Adam Bryant, runs a Ladies Golf programme over the summer which is very popular in order to get you started.
The Ladies section is keen to extend its membership and those applying are assured of a warm and friendly welcome.
